Navisens is a newly formed start-up company incorporated in February 2010 to commercialise innovative technology for high-precision human navigation and health monitoring. The technology developed by Navisens culminates several years of doctoral research into human localisation, including the development of several proprietary algorithms, a custom designed sensor, and a complete software framework and 3D visualisation system.
A core motivation of the developed technology is to perform human localisation in a self-contained manner, avoiding dependence on infrastructure installed within the environment and enabling localisation within traditionally difficult scenarios such as completely indoor and underground locations and highly dynamic urban environments.
